GURDWARA SRI TILLA BABA FARID, FARIDKOT
Revered as a retreat of Baba Farid who is considered one of the founding fathers of the Chishti Sufi order. He is said to have meditated here for forty days in the 13th century. According to legend, Raja Mokalsi was so impressed by his Mystic powers that he renamed the city from Mokalhar to Faridkot in his honour. The piece of wood with which Baba Farid wiped his hands has also been preserved here.
