Brief Description about work:-
1.District Election Office, Faridkot follows the instructions of Election Commission of India (ECI) under supervision of Chief Electoral Office, Punjab Chandigarh.
2.Election department conducts free and fair General Elections to the Lok Sabha (Parliamentary Elections), Assembly Elections, Bye-elections and Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee Elections. Updation of Voter Lists in Summary revision and continuous revision also done by Election Department every year and upload on Commission’s website. Election Department encourage the youth of mainly 18-19 years to register themselves as voter and participate in election process through SVEEP Project.

Elector Verification Program (EVP) and Special Summary Revision w.r.t 01.01.2020.
Description of Ongoing Project
Elector Verification Program scheduled from 01.09.2019 to 18.11.2019 by Election Commission of India . In this program, every BLO will visit house to house to verify the Elector with the help of Hybrid BLO Mobile App or BLO Register. Electors can verify himself and his family members with Voter Helpline Mobile App and www.nvsp.in portal. To aware the voters for verification awareness camps and training camps are being organized in Govt.Offices/ Schools and Colleges. Special Summary Revision will be started from 25.11.2019.
