Disaster Management
A disaster is a serious disruption, occurring over a relatively short time, of the functioning of a community or a society involving widespread human, material, economic or environmental loss and impacts, which exceeds the ability of the affected community or society to cope using its own resources.There are two type of disaster Natural and Man-Made.
(VULNERABILITY+ HAZARD ) / CAPACITY = DISASTER
Disaster Management-:
Disaster Management refers to how we can protect or preserve maximum number of lives and property during a natural disaster. Disaster management plans are multi-layered and are aimed to address such issues as floods, hurricanes, fires, bombings and even mass failures of utilities or the rapid spread of disease.
At the national level, the Ministry of Home Affairs is the nodal Ministry for all matters concerning disaster management.

Disaster Management At District Level-:
As per the past history, the district is not flood prone and has not experienced any major natural disaster in the past.However some problems were faced in the past which were managed by the District Administration with the help of Nagar Councils and Gram Panchayats.
